Parent Handbook

Everything you need, in plain language.

This is the friendly version of how the studio runs — what to expect, how to reach us, and the small handful of guidelines that keep every student's time protected.

Your reserved time

  • Each student has a weekly session time held just for them — it isn't a drop-in slot.
  • Tuition reserves that time and covers preparation, expertise, and studio resources.
  • Drop-in sessions are available separately when you need occasional support.

Tuition & billing

  • Payments are handled automatically through the studio's booking platform, Fons.
  • Billing follows the schedule set at enrollment — please keep your payment info current.
  • If a payment can't be processed, sessions may pause until the account is up to date.

Cancellations

  • Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel, reschedule, or adjust a session.
  • Your change is confirmed once the studio has acknowledged it.
  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice remain due as scheduled.

When your student is sick

  • Students should stay home with a fever, vomiting, significant respiratory symptoms, or anything contagious.
  • Please let the studio know as soon as you can so we can plan ahead.
  • The studio may ask a student to sit out an in-person session if they seem unwell.

Make-up sessions

  • Make-ups are offered at the studio's discretion during designated make-up availability.
  • They're scheduled first-come, first-served within 30 days of the missed session.
  • If no make-up time works, the missed session isn't refunded, credited, or transferred.

In the studio

  • Students treat instructors, peers, and studio property with respect.
  • Come ready to participate, follow coaching guidance, and keep things positive.
  • Disruptive or unsafe behavior is addressed together with parents first.

How parents help

  • Keep emergency contact and medical information accurate and current.
  • Share anything that might affect your student's participation.
  • Read studio communication and support respectful habits at home.

Drop-off & pick-up

  • Students shouldn't be dropped off early unless it's been arranged in advance.
  • Please pick up promptly after the session ends.
  • The studio isn't responsible for students outside their scheduled session time.

Photos & video

  • The studio may share photos or clips from sessions and performances on the website and social media.
  • Students aren't identified by full name, school, or other personal details.
  • You can opt out of promotional use on the enrollment form at any time.

Safety in coaching

  • Performing arts work involves movement, breath support, and posture cues.
  • Any physical contact is limited, appropriate, and instructional.
  • Students may always say they're uncomfortable and ask for another approach.

Staying in touch

  • Studio updates come by email, text, or the scheduling platform.
  • Please keep your contact information up to date.
  • Policies may be refined over time — families are notified of significant changes.
